And specifically on March 8, we celebrate International Women’s Day, a global day that recognizes the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and calls to action the continued acceleration of women’s equality.
Women Are the Future of Cannabis
Throughout history, the portrayal of the cannabis community has been heavily biased towards men, from the earliest times to the current push for legalization. However, this does not reflect the truth. In ancient societies, women played significant roles as both herb gatherers and healers, utilizing cannabis for medicinal purposes.
From activism to science to entrepreneurship, women have shaped the cannabis industry in powerful ways. As legalization continues to grow, more women are stepping into leadership roles and advocating for inclusivity and innovation.

Who are we and what is a Calyx?
We are proud to be the ONLY 100% women owned cannabis boutique in Berkshire County! The Calyx is the female part of the Cannabis plant. All flowering plants have calyxes, but the calyxes of female Cannabis plants are coveted commodities. The calyxes are located at the base of the flower and hold everything together… just like a woman!
